 Located in Luque, La Escuela Presbyteriana provides loving, Christ-centered education for children grades K-6 with the goal of providing a safe learning environment for kids who may not otherwise have the opportunity for a quality education. The teachers must live as role models and provide the kids with adult friendship and mentorship they may not always see elsewhere in order to start them on a healthy, beneficial pathway through life with a Godly, selfless worldview. School runs two normal yearly terms, summer (Sept.-January) and winter (February-August), with one break in the summer, one for Christmas, and one in the winter. Supporting the children who often cannot afford school supplies can be difficult in Paraguay and la Escuela still relies heavily on support from the United States to pay for children's scholarships and supplies.
