 Updates This month we would like to focus on the young people. The church has increasing problems with the young girls going from the arms of Christ to the arms of boys. Please pray that the young women can stand on their own two feet on Christ the solid rock and realize that they do not need to run after a man to take care of them. Pray that the young men also will realize that God will provide in His time, and pursuing fleshly lusts only leads to pain and suffering. Pray for a passion for education among the students and as final exams come up, pray that they focus and work hard to succeed. Here are some names of the youth in need to pray especially for:Lucia Viviana Mariela Angel Dani Jessica Rodrigo Franci The church is preparing for a second evangelism camp this summer in July starting July 17th. The Lord was mega-gracious and someone donated an advertisement in the television to the church for the evangelism camp near El Renuevo! The young people are still doing theater for evangelism, and their next one is called 'La Puerta' and tells how in order to get into heaven we have to leave earthly things behind. Also, within the next few weeks the church is sending people out into the neighborhoods to go from door to door evangelism. In Paraguay, the culture is very open and people frequently visit each other even if they are only acquaintances or neighbors, so this strategy may prove incredibly effective. Please pray for it! In Barrio Parque there are now 5 adults and 35 children. Please continue to pray that the light of Christ shines in this very dark area, and pray that the Lord raises up another female missionary to the area to take the place of the one we lost a few months ago. Please continue to lift up Mr. Sowers, the Project Paraguay treasurer, and the financial state of Project Paraguay. Mr. Sowers is recovering from his biking accident, and can communicate a little bit now but he really needs the Lord's hand on his memory. Thank-you for your support. |
