Well, we finally got our own webdomain! Please link to projectparaguay.org as much as you can, and post it in your facebook notes, too! Be sure to check out the projectparaguay youtube and the revised mission statement posted earlier this spring (links on the home page). Also, hopefully we will have a new donations page soon and a 'cause' on facebook for people to join and donate to.
As our presence on the web continues to grow, so does the church in Paraguay! Growth in Barrio Parque is slow but steady, and the leadership is thinking about starting a kindergarden there in the coming year. This program will be directed especially towards children with special difficulties, so please be praying for this.
Here in the US, we have an emergency request for prayer for Project Paraguay treasurer Bob Sowers, who had a biking accident and is now in the hospital in an induced coma with skull damage. Please pray for peace and strength for Mrs. Sowers and pray that the Lord brings healing to His servant!
At Iglesia El Renuevo, the Women's Society is doing small projects to raise money for a new drum set and the youth group is preparing for an evangelism camp in the neighborhood. This month, El Renuevo celebrated mothers' day with a Sunday party at the church and invited all the women to relax. Discipleship classes continue and the church still needs your prayer for reaching out into the community in bigger ways for God.
The school, la Escuela Presbyteriana, is doing well and has taken on more students. The director is teaching classes on Christian Education and the staff continue to have meetings to pray for the children. Please pray with them that the children focus, listen to their teachers, and most importantly, learn to enjoy learning about the Father and His World!
This month, in light of the glory of spring and the growth God brings with it, we would like to ask for special prayer for growing TOGETHER for the church in Paraguay. Please ask God that He would provide the believers with a tight oneness and love, and that He would grow them together like ivy on a wall, clinging to each other and to Him. As the body of Christ, we all need each other, and the ivies and honey suckle vines creeping through your backyard know that plants that use each other for support are hard to stop.
Thanks for your continued support!
